I have a yank 3200ss converter with less than 2000 miles on it. Most of that was cam only with the last couple hundred with a D1x at about 10 pounds peak boost of street tuning. Stock trans will no longer shift at wot from 2nd to 3rd. It's been cold so with street tires I can't really test the 1 to 2 shift at wot due to wheel spin. I also can't test the 3 to 4 on the street because of the mph required. All part throttle shifts seem good no issues with driveability. I'm going with a built 4l60e. Are there any concerns with re-using my current converter in the new trans?
I would send it to Yank for a "Cut & Clean" & If you want it re-stalled.....Have that done as well.
If there is no metal or heavy amounts of clutch material in the pan when you drop the trans & your a gambler......
Turn the converter upside down over a bucket to drain all the fluid out overnight & throw it back in there.
