S10 Transmission with LS Swap I have a 1998 S10 that I am putting an L33 5.3 into
I have read that you can use the S10 4L60e if you drill the flexplate for the converter bolts.
How does this work if I buy an aftermarket stall? Do I buy the stall for the s10 and still drill the flexplate, buy a truck stall? fbody stall?

P.S. My S10 4L60e will be internally built to handle the V8, as long as nobody chimes in saying this is a bad idea

The 4L60E in your S10 is the "LT Style" with a 298mm input shaft. It certainly can be rebuilt/upgraded to handle e.g. 500HP.
If you use a LT style converter, you will need a spacer bolted after the flexplate and drill the flexplate. Alternatively if you decide to buy a high quality stall from one of the sponsors, they can build a custom one with a longer pilot and a LT-style bolt pattern.
IIRC some of CircleD's converters have multiple bolt pattern to directly bolt up to a variety of flexplates.

I’ve went both routes with it and never had an issue. Like he said, if you want to keep it LT style then just pick up a crank spacer or a 4l80e flexplate for an LS. I threw the stock 150,000 mile 2002 Blazer 60e behind my 5.3 while I was waiting on the 80e stall and surprisingly it held, I was NOT nice to it!
