Default 4l70e to 4l60e

Hey I have a 2008 gmc sierra vortecmax with a 4l70e. The 4l70e did not hold up. I have a built 4l60e from a 1998 gmc sierra I'd be looking to swap. What is needed to be done to actually make it work.

A 4L70E is a built 4L60E. What happened to the 70E?

I believe the 08s had an ISS (speed sensor) in the trans, so a direct swap isn't an option. I think you can tune around it, but some other guys with more experience will have to comment on that.

And the Input Speed Sensor, well you need it and it won't retrofit back to the 1998 transmission.
your saying even if I tuned it it will not work. I know it bolts up no problem

That sure was fast.
This is why I don't ask questions, if I think it's going to work I just do it.

What's the torque spec for my oil drain plug so I can tell Speedy Lube when I take it in?
