Looking at a 4l60e from a 2001 S10 , will this bolt to my 6.0 ? can i use the same tourq convertor ?

 

Short answer... no

The bell housing, input shaft and pump stator are different in v6 4l60e as opposed to Ls 4l60e. The converter also will not work.

Also the v6 separator plate specs are a bit different.

The transmission you are looking for is a 98 - 05 4l60e or 4l65e and the bell housing will have bolt hole at the 12 o'clock position.
