TCC draging
On a side note, still waiting for information on the converter. The company received it this morning at 8:30. Owner is personally going through it this time.
Oh and...
Now heres what I am thinking is going on. I think the pump being worn and bypassing fluid, not building enough pressure is causing the TCC to drag because there is not enough pressure to deactivate it. Now what is causing the pump gears to wear both sides of the pump housing. Crank walk? Ive never checked it, but the engine has been going for 6000ish miles. Something inside the transmission walking back and fourth? If so, what could it be? PCM tuning for the transmission? What should I look for?
All I know is I have lost two pumps now. Both have done the same thing. Gears ate the pump body. First time was on a hard pull, shifted into 4th at 135mph. Lost everything. Second time occurred when I hit the transbrake for the first time. TCC started dragging.
Any help or ideas is welcome and appreciated

Do you have anything limiting fluid pressure in the converter? Alot of guys will limit the converter feed. If the converter gets too much pressure in it and baloons, it could shove the pump towards the tailhousing and eat into the face there.
If it's shoving it the other way, then I'm not sure. There's really not anything else that ever engages with the pump gears.
As far as the planets, the stock ones almost always fail due to lube and not power. Look into ensuring that they are getting properly lubed
