Default rear pump glide delete and build for 1khp help needed

i have started the glide conversion for my terbo 4v.

i have a light duty aluminum case rear pump glide. i was told it was a 68 impala, but obviously is not. its a 1.8 ratio gearset but IS a V8 glide.

i'm putting a manual valve body and transbrake in it. billet gears th400 input and extra clutches. im going to just build the pump with drillings it needs and nothing else.

its going in a 96 gt making 650rwhp right now. i will be boosting to 1k rwhp at some point.

so i need to get the rear pump thing eliminated. the governor also. where can i find definitive instructions to build the glide.

its getting a jw bell. thanks for the help.

We can help on all aspects you have here. Our F2502: Billet govornor support will do away with the rear pump and you can remove the governor from the output shaft. We also have our 300M input shafts(F2516 and F2517M) with the turbo splines you'll need.

Shoot me a PM and we can discuss the rest of the details to get you going!

i have a tool to press the th400 stator support onto my pump.

it looks like i need the rear cover you speak of, a 8 friction/clutch hub kit, input shaft, 1.80 planetary setup, output shaft, billet servo cover, double o ringed servo, manual valvebody and transbrake, cpnverter crank pilot adapter.

im not spending a fortune on this. it has to handle the power this on3 76mm turbo makes. ive datalogged 70lb/minute, so it only has to handle 800-850 crank hp.

its a stopgap only. i will PM you after i get the case and parts hot tanked and pump rebuilt and drilled.

thanks for replying.

i would like to find a longer tailshaft than the one i have. a longer on may not exist.

Here's a list of parts, links, and descriptions for the parts you already listed.

This should be everything you need to essentially make one of our level 3 Powerglides that we rate to 1000HP minus the pump, case, pan, drum, and other misc. small parts.

F2502: Billet governor support(rear plate)
https://ftiperformance.com/searchqui...keywords=f2502

F2547-8: 8 clutch u-build-it kit
https://ftiperformance.com/Powerglid...?categoryId=-1

F2543: billet steel clutch hub(8 clutch)
https://ftiperformance.com/Powerglid...utch-F2543.htm

F2523P8: 8 clutch billet drum piston
https://ftiperformance.com/Powerglid...tch-F2523P.htm

F2516/F2517M: 300M Turbo spline input shaft(if your converter has a bushing in the front converter you want the F2516 and you will take out the bushing in the front of the stator support. If you don't have a bushing in the converter you'll need the F2517M to work with that bushing that will have to stay.)
https://ftiperformance.com/Powerglid...?categoryId=-1

F2540L: 1.80 Straight cut planetary with long 4340 output shaft
https://ftiperformance.com/Powerglid...tput-F2540.htm

F2542K: Billet servo kit w/billet cover and billet dual ring servo
https://ftiperformance.com/Powerglid...?categoryId=-1

FCALS: LS crank adaptor
https://ftiperformance.com/searchqui...keywords=fcals

F2514(PB/B2/HL): billet full manual transbrake valvebody
https://ftiperformance.com/Billet-Al...-FTI-F2514.htm

You should be able to re-use the factory drum as long as it is still in good condition. If not we have those as well.
F2529: Powerglide direct replacement drum
https://ftiperformance.com/Powerglid...Drum-F2529.htm
