Default Trans builders/experts 4l60E burnout

Wanting people to weigh in on burn out procedure at the track for the 4l60E to minimize chance of breakage
I've done a Lot of searching and seems a wide range for what people do lol
I've seen over and over with th400 guys that you don't want to shift 1-2 during burn out...does this apply for the same reasoning to the 60 e?

The 4l60e is completely different than the th400 so no that issue does not apply to 4l60e.

Is this a stock 4l60e?

The reason a th350 or th400 need a special burnout procedure is that on the 1-2 shift it shocks the hell out of the intermediate sprag. Theres also alot of force on the sprag when the tires bite at the end of the burnout. The 4l60e doesn't operate in the same way.

A 1-2 shift is going to bring on the band and other than heat, I see no big issue doing that on a 60e.

I personally start in 1, shift into 2nd and roll out from there.

You can shift into 3rd if you want then rollout...or shift into 3rd right as you're rolling out. But I see no need to build up heat in the 3/4 clutches by bringing them on during a burnout. But if you want to I don't think it's going to hurt

That's been my procedure so far...start in 1st shift to second 4-5k then finish in 2nd and ease out trying not to let the tires bite
