Default 4l65e rebuild

2006 gto Car makes about 585 to the crank, h/c/I 3800 yank
mostly for the street, sees the track maybe twice a year.
40k miles on it. 1,000 on the build. I took it out Saturday and got on it pretty hard and it won't shift at WOT. It bounced off the rev limiter both times. called a shop called trans to go and they quoted 2,950 for a rebuild and parts to handle the power. If the converter isn't done. I feel it's kinda high but I do know it's a great shop. Any other suggestions? I knew it'd give at some point on the stock trans.

Coming here for price comparisons really isn't the point of the forum. Check out the sponsors on this site and what their prices are. Plenty of good builders on here that you can check out.

Give them a phone call. Their sites are good but they can better direct you and get you set up if you just spend some time on the horn.
