2013 ram with 4l80trans problem
Have a 2013 ram 1500 equipped with a 4l80 using a ushift quick4 standalone computer
why did i remove my oem trans from truck they are garbage just like the 4l60 went thru 5 65rfes that when i decided to go 4l80e late version 4l80
so i got the trans and oem converter installed was only shifting 1-2 2-3 3-4 at light throttle had a bad grinding noise come to find out it was the converter so i got a brand new billet 3600 converter and a stage 2 rebuilt trans rated for 9-950hp
installed back into ram truck nomore grinding noise
but i only have
1-2 2-3 3-4 at light throttle which is good
but when i go wot have nothing it doenst shift in wot at all for that same reason i got my trans rebuilt to avoid issues and im stuck in the same hole now
1st wot nothing
2nd wot nothing
3rd wot nothing downshift to 2nd
4thwot nothing
is been 2month of headaches trying to figure this out tranny guy blames my electrical mekanik guy blames the tranny never ending thing.
took my trans harness (standalone computer harness)apart off the truck inspected it nothing wrong also tested wiring from point A to point B with volt meter and all tested good proving to me the wiring is in great shape
Hope someone here can guide me through the right pass as im almost giving up on this
did the tranny guy did a poor job
is in the tuning part of the quick4 which is the only thing im left to think is bad or maybe the trans controller itself

yes their is i have the software and cable that plugs into the trans controller and computer but when im in the tuning portion i have no idea what to look at or what it has to be set to i just installed whatever was included on the controller for quick4 controller only options are the following
normal 5000rpm tune
4l805500 rpm tune
4l80 lowgastune4000rpm
and
4l80 6000rpm tune
ofcourse the shift points firmeness stalic line pressure tccc lockup can be manually adjusted
but how can i know where to set it at
only thing i set up was the tps on idle and on wot
also my gear ratio and tire size beside that i didnt move anything else and im using 4l80 normal which is 5000rpm at wot
on my previous trans my ram trans tuner had my shift point at wot at 6400rpm beside that thats all the info i have right now but simce is. A stand alone my tuner can no longer tune it as he dont want to learn a new software
You need to either
A. Read the instructions on the US Shift site and understand to set shift points for your setup. I'm not sure how or why you did a swap if you have no idea how to use the controller you purchased.
B. Open their software and use the "help" function.
C. Find a competent tuner that can handle this controller
