Default another 4L80E question

Hi guys. So I'm in the process of building my car. Just trying to nail down all the details. So I'm putting in a 4L80E into this car with a full manual valve body. So my question is does any electronics need to be hooked up minus the speedo? Also I've heard that with this setup sometimes the car wants to stall when putting it in gear because the computer isnt adjusting for a tranny being shifted into gear because it doesnt know. Any fix for that? Thanks for any help!

Well, you mention a computer for the engine so...how bout you share some info on what the setup is. What engine management system? Will it accept any info from the neutral safety switch?

What type of full manual control? Most full manual control for a 4l80e is an add-on box that still controls the shift solenoids, it just uses the pressure manifold switch inside the trans and some very simple wiring.
If you have that type, then you will need to supply power and ground to the trans.

youll need electronics if you want to lock the converter.

lots of manual setups utilize a small control box with like 3-4 wires, (12v power, ground for converter, ground for tbrake, and something else). https://shop.jakesperformance.com/sh...al-control-box

speed sensor plugs right in but youll probably need to change the pulses in the tune for the speedometer to read correctly

Sorry for lack of info guys. Its a 2002 Z28 with a heavy boosted built LQ4. As far as the manual control, I was just going to order a jakes performance unit with manual valve body and trans brake.
