DD Converter selection help from Australia So I've got a 3600lb L76 with full bolt ons, a 3.9 rear and a 4L65E - stock cam and heads (for the next 6 months) will then be a 21x/22x with 11.1 comp. I'm in Australia and theres nobody that can promise me a converter that will cut a 1.5 60ft and be able to DD.
I'm looking at a Yank or Circle D 4000rpm stall. Is this reasonable for a daily driver? I do about 30 miles a day mixed driving. I'm really unfamiliar with the torque converter companies that are Stateside so any feedback is appreciated!

Circle D makes great converters. I run a Circle D 3200 stall in my daily driven Silverado with cam/headers/4.11 gears and it drives like a dream, stalls when I need it to. I wouldn't hesitate to run the 4000 stall either. Obviously I'm not cutting a 1.5 60ft because I don't make enough power, but I'd be willing to bet the Circle D can do what you need for both a daily and track duty. Also just put a Circle D in my girlfriends LS1 swapped Silverado with heads/cam/headers. I've also heard good things about PTC, but I don't have personal experience running their converters.
