Finally taking my 80E to the track!
So I have NO doubt that this car WILL hook as it has 300+ less hp then the 406 and it did with that engine and a 8" treemaster converter.
My question is, should I just leave the shifter in 3rd after my burnout and let it shift at it's programed setting of 6k that I set it too?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Pretty neat.
I will say I miss the extra 300hp and 200ftlbs of torque tho!!!!
The car dead hooks with the DR's on the street where as the 406 would kill them from a stop!
I'm thinking I might need to lock up my triple disk tho and MAYBE use 4th as there is not enough cam for the 430's.
Do you think what's left of the 240hp tpi engine would kill the 80E IF I had to use 4th for the last couple hunny feet?

Only problem is if using power, and you have to pedal, it gets messed up.
I would avoid going into 4th, less clutches, if a triple dics try lockup instead.

I'm not use to that! LOL!!!
I'd have to go in the compushift menu and have it lock in 3rd at 80mph and raise the unlock to 100% to keep it locked at wot.
