4L60E TCC Problem
Finally got my engine swap done(CA Legal Too! EVAP and EGR and Cats in tact!) and need some trans help. My trans refuses to stay cool, and I have seen P1870 pop up a time or two. I want to take it back to trans shop and have him fix it, but I am hoping to get some indications of the problem.
Swap details:
Donor was a 2001 Tahoe 5.3 LM7/4L60E which I have mated to a NP241C. Had my local trans shop do a full rebuild of trans and transfer case.
Recipient vehicle is a 1990 GMC Jimmy(K5 Blazer) 4x4 Lifted with 33's. I had some cooling issues so I installed a 4 row aluminum radiator, engine refuses to overheat, trans shoots for the moon, they are in the same radiator....
Did 2 drive's with it(laptop battery died on drive one so had to go home and switch laptops).
Drive 2 really shows the trans temp going for the moon and the TCC not locking very often.... I'm wondering if my TCC is bad(Brand new from trans shop)?
I'm open to any input or suggestions, haven't even started tuning it yet other than VATS delete.
HPTuners 4.x Datalog's and config attached....
This is exactly the same engine and transmission set up that I have but I don't see those temps. I'm not quite running down the road yet as much as you are but I will be running some kind of external cooler - several types to pick in the junkyard for short money. Or buy a brand new one.
