I got a cheap 99 4.8 $200 CAD came with the harness and ECU . Came out of a manual truck and has the long crank . Wondering what flexplate would work with a 4l80e .

Has anybody had any luck with these ? Is the spacer welded onto the plate or can it be removed .
Will a th400 flex plate work ? Also I guess I would need shorter bolts as well .

 

Use the stock flat 80e flexplate.

 

If you want an SFI plate here is the one I have on my long crank lq4 - 93019-LSC. For a cheap stock one go with ATP z-270.

 

Thank you for the replies . Looking for something cheap for now. Good to know the atp z270 will work , I wasn't sure since it says on summits website it won't work with a manual trans 4.8 crank . I would guess the spacer is removable in that case .

 

yea just knock the spacer out and save it for a 4l80e swap with a short crank. The spacer makes up with diff between a long and short crank setup.
