You could change/add to the harness and use stock pcm
IMO that's what I would do...the stock pcm has better lockup strategy than any aftermarket controller I've seen (as far as lock/unlock...not TCC)
But yes, the MSD should work...also look into the US Shift.
Another option is to have the 65 built for static line pressure, and build your own (or have your builder do it) to control shifts without pcm. Full manual valve body using just the solenoids and pressure switch
