Where can i find model year info on the trans to cross reference what vehicle my junkyard
tranny got pulled?

what is this part thats broken near my shift linkage called and do i need it?

also to my 4l80 from 60e conversion in my 99z28, do i need to buy the th400 slip yoke that measures roughly 6 " , and the first few id inches of the yoke smooth to slide over the output shaft??

Has the 12 o clock bolt hole and yellow tag states: 009229

Tht part is your park/nuetral switch. Just use the one from your 60e.

Get the 6" 80e yoke. The th400 yokes usually have a set back for the internal splines. So they dont engage the output shaft splines very well on a 80e swap.

Tht 80e looks to be a later yr model trans. After 2000 yr model. If it has a white sticker on case, the first 2 numbers represent yr model.

For example: 01def. The 01 would mean 2001 trans. Etc.

So the yoke that came with the tranny will work with my 99 DS and u joint? Do i need a different u joint?

so the stocker is 5.25 "

and i need an additional .75" ? Hence the 6" yoke

Tht yoke should work fine. On the 4l80e swaps on the trucks i use a napa 447 u joint. It should work for your app as well. Stock drive shaft should work.
