the 60e has 2 valves that are important for the 3-2 downshift. The one you guys are talking about Is not the same as what we are talking about in this thread. I'm referring to the valve just inboard of the 3-2 control solenoid.

Yep, your right I was referring the the THM700-R4 and not the later 4L60E and onward...
On the 4L60E there would be the 3-2 downshift valve that is blocked, and the 3-2 control valve that is blocked.
