The point on the TB converter is because the truck doesn't have one at all and it's super budget just to throw something in it. Plus I'll most likely 80e swap it if I have trans issues so the point of be buying a big dollar converter just isn't there.

here dude. I’m gonna try and answer your question as best as I can. I can’t give you a 60ft but I can provide a ride along video. Here’s the mods:

99 5.3 Silverado 180k miles extracab three door, longer bed
mildly built 4l60
trailblazer Converter
4.10 gears
Texas speed high lift truck cam 212/218
k&n air intake
single 3” jba exhaust
speed engineering full length headers
tune when I didn’t know what the **** I was doing

I was thinking the 2800 converter would have around 4500 rpm shift extension with 6100 shift points but i see it's even less at around 4000 rpms.

And just for ***** vs my brand new (at the time) 2017 Silverado 5.3 a6. My son’s driving the older truck. The tires spinning was the older truck. I don’t think the trailblazer converter is a bad deal for the money. Obviously a yank would have been better.

lol. That race was repeated several times. Same outcome. I never ran the truck st the track but it would beat my v6 2016 accord 6 speed coupe too. Supposedly the accord stock runs a 13.8-13.9. Whatever, a big old truck was whoopin em. Lol, slow and who cares

no problems at all. I’d do it again if I was not trying to race it.

Exactly my position. I traded for it as is and for 100$ I just think it would help enough to make it worth my while. It an rcsb 222/231 .550/.550 112+5, intake, headers, 3.73 and tru trac, e-fan etc and NO CONVERTER lolol it drives good but i think for 100$ it would be better then nothing. Won't be tracked or anything hell its probably gonna get sold here real soon

If you can get a printout (graph) and see how much time it takes from the beginning of the shift, to the completion of the shift (at WOT). When the transmission is setup correctly, a good quality shift, should take .2 seconds to .25 seconds from beginning to end of the shift time wise. If you are not getting these results, then you will have to go into the transmission to solve this. This will be a larger boost valve, larger servos, more clutches in the 3-4, different clutch/band feed and release holes in the separator plate, modified accumulation, etc. A heavy torque converter will affect this some, and slow down the shift time a little. However the shift still has to be quick. Long shifts need to be addressed (as stated above), as they will wear the clutches and band quickly.
