Default CK performance 4L80e D3 transbrake

any one had experience with this unit? fits in a stock pan.

I'd link it but they're non-sponsors.

Jake's performance is a sponsor...and they make one...and I know it is a successful piece.
Try them first.

thank you I appreciate it. I am aware of Jake's D3 brake.

I am wondering if anyone is using the CK piece. I know a few pro builders favor some of their (CK) other products.

Anyone have info on the CK D3 brake?

I am very familiar with CK Performance products.
Most people here are not... especially as CK performance does not sponsor LS1Tech.

Excellent quality in-house designed and machined parts!!!
Chris the owner of CK Perf. can be hit or miss, however his parts and his wife (who handles most of the customer interactions) are Fantastic.

The trans-brakes that he offers for the 4L80E are great! I have purchased many for my customers an own one myself.

The CK Perf. D123 trans-brake valve-body is what you would be looking at... depending on the year of your trans, an early model or late model design valve-body will have to be chosen.
These D3 type valve-bodies are extremely popular right now!

I personally own the the fully manual shifted version of the CK Perf. trans-brake valve-body and LOVE it!
What you are looking at is an automatically shifted trans-brake valve-body.

Essentially every part that CK Perf. offers is Great, you can't go wrong!

I have nothing bad to say about the parts that Jake's Performance sells either. I just do not have experience with his products.
Many of my customers have used torque converters from Jake's Performance and been quite happy.

Yep. Have one in my car. Works great in my heavy car. But I’ve only been a 5.50 with a 1.29 60. Chris is a super nice guy and knows his **** (Just call him early in the morning). That’s 10x better than I can say for a sponsored supporter on this site.

1.290s Time@60 Foot mark is not damn Bad with a 5.500s 1/8 mile!!!

What is your MPH at the 660'? In the 114-117 MPH range?

Any reason you are not nailing down some mid to low 9 second passes in the quarter?

Chris is Great as long as he is not in a bad mood, LMAO!

How great of Chris to copy our product. The reason we developed our 4L80E transbrakes were because the early versions of the CK 4L80E brake didn't work very well. Constant clutch burnup and the same shift problems as the TransGo -3 kit they were based on.

What's the saying, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."?
