4l60e burnout tips
Hey! Bought a truck with 2003 lm7 and 4l60e. Has tranny cooler and have been rebuilt with what I think a stage 3 ebay kit.
Now, when I do burnouts, Should I just put it in drive or would it "be ok" to put it in first then manually shift it into second when I want to or will that be more painful for the tranny?

2-3 shifts during a burnout can get funky but usually not a huge deal
Personally I'd leave it in 2nd and get off the throttle before shifting up any further but I don't think you'll grenade anything otherwise

Awesome thanks man. Another thing since like I said im new to automatics. Is it bad for the transmission to go from drive to neutral while driving if I wanna get like "attention" and rev the engine a bit then put it back in drive again if you get what Im talking about?

I like to break the tires loose in 1st, bring the rpms up, shift into 2nd, bring the rpms up, and then shift into 3rd as I roll out. Going into third helps minimize driveline shock when you let off the throttle as you roll up to the tree.
Yes, going in and out of neutral is fine, especially if vehicle speed doesn't change much.
