Default converter selections

Okay i'm new to the LS and 4L80E crowd... always been an Olds Motor with a Turbo 350 or 200-4r. anyways, i'm looking for info on determining what brand of converters to look at. I know Dick Miller Racing recommended a 2400-2800 stall....(4l80E behind a olds 455) but i'm not sure where to look for a good cost effective converter. looking for as much info as i can because i'm also gathering parts for a LM7 build for my 84 C10. (lm7, flat tops, 243 heads, tbss intake, and either BTR stage 2 or 3 Cam) what are decent companies to go with that wont break the bank?

I fixed it for you.

All kidding aside, you will get several brand recommendations, majority being the aforementioned. Go with someone such as ourselves(shameless plug) that will go over all your vehicle info and tailor the converter your vehicle and driving style.
If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM, e-mail or call at the shop.
