Somehow while working on the input drum and reverse input drum I ended up with an extra snap ring...the problem is I have two that I can’t tell apart. They are both square cut ends and appear to be the exact same size diameter, thickness, and opening size. In the pictures I have them stacked together and side by side. It appears to me that I have two forward clutch backing plate snap rings here??? Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.

Checked again and still don’t get it. I have 2 reverse input drum snap rings somehow. What is going on here? I realized it’s not the forward clutch backing plate ring, that is slightly smaller diameter and is a thicker ring.

 

Did you buy a GU reverse input drum?

 

No I bought a new reverse input drum, did not come with a snap ring.
