4l80e slipping in second at WOT
about 10 different causes for that.
9 in the valve body...1 in the clearance of the band.
if the clearance is greater than .125...weld .070 onto the band pin tip and put it back together...if there's any band left that you haven't smoked...it'll work again.
Also do a pressure test just to make sure you don't have an issue there
Let's neglect my first post...talking about 60 vs an 80...woah that's a rookie move!
Slipping in 2nd on an 80e is likely one of the following
A. center support bolt loose. Leaking all pressure away.
B. you don't have enough fluid in the trans. Unfortuneately that happens WAY too often...guys run 80s low and have it slip 2nd because the fluid isn't making it to the pump. First is usually OK because they're statically applied before you're moving.
