Help!!! I need some transmission advice...
Your description of the problem is very vague. Do you have any scan tools? Does it shift at all? Guess that's a start.
Are you stating that when you accelerate, the vehicle would act like the transmission is slipping or going into neutral???
If that is the problem that you are trying to explain; than give us more details.
It is possible when your transmission warms up, it looses line pressure...
Or if not, then tell us what it is. However be detailed in your explanation.
Regardless... You should purchase an inexpensive trainsmission ATF pressure gauge to take measurements of the transmission line pressure in all of the different gear selector positions.
I am pushing 600 hp and I'm thinking about replacing mine with a 4L80E.
You can unplug the main wiring to the transmission and see if it has 3rd, it should be stuck in third, and max line pressure with the harness unplugged, but don't get too excited it's still gone.
