Best automatic for a LS3 I purchased a LS3 out of a 2008 Corvette for my 69 Camaro Project.
I am interested in installing a 4L60e or a 4L65E in the car.
I am familiar with the small are large tongue converters.
Since the Corvette would have likely came with the 6L80E I am looking at a hybrid.
I am unsure if the LS3 ever had this transmission behind it in any chassis.
I am looking for a core as I plan on getting it rebuilt.
Will the 4L60 work with the LS3 computer? I am assuming as the LS3 isn't much different than the 6L truck motors.
Looking for the transmission with the 300mm input shaft.
Looking for the case to have the top extra hole for the LS motor.
The Green or black plug on the side of the case, this is confusing.
When I purchase the harness I plan on having it set up for the 4L60E and want as few issues as possible.
This is the reason I am looking for an automatic close to the engine in year and configuration.
I did figure out using the 4l60 behind the 58X computers requires a T42 Transmission Controller.
I don't know much else.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 4L60-E behind my LS3, but my 4L60-E is built from PerformaBuilt Transmissions. A LS3 will kill a stock 4L60-E so fast if you dive the car hard.
Some people say put a 4L80-E, but those eat a lot of power.
