Log your mileage on 25 miles of straight flat road. I'm betting the mileage you see in 3rd isn't much worse (if at all) than in 4th
Locked up in 3rd would be the best way to tow in my opinion.
If your turbo setup can allow you to tow in 4th and not be hunting for gears all the time...then leave it locked up in 4th and it could be ok...but if it starts doing 4-3-4-3-4-3-4-3-4-3-4-3 then just leave it in 3

Those are 2 things that are really on your side.
I'd add some proper tuning to make tcc control on/off type and leave some torque management in the tune.
If the lockup is tuned to be on/off, and it doesn't hunt for gears. I'd say you'll be just fine

The factory calibration will purposly have 30ish-60ish rpm of converter slip the whole time you're going down the road. Eliminate that nonsense
