New to group needing advise

New to group needing advise I’m currently doing by first Build and need some advise. Using a 2004 LQ4 from a Escalade and trying to use a 6L80 from a 08 Escalade. Been told the flexplate will have to be changed. Is this a fact or can I use the factory flexplate and the starter and torque converter will work as it should. Thanks in advance.

If I'm not mistaken the Cadillac Escalade never came from the factory with a LQ4. The second gen Escalades were powered by 5.3l and the 6.0l LQ9. So I hope you have the LQ9 as it has more compression than the LQ4. If you are going to control the engine with the factory ecm , you will need a controller to operate the 6l80e trans.
