4L80E parts swap
One of the others is an 01, it was missing the pump and OD unit. I know a lot of the 91 internals are diff, but was wondering
if the pumps were the same. I was going to mainly use some of the bolts off the 91 unit, what else is worth keeping
from it that might work on later units.
If you start mixing and matching halves, you can have issues.
The direct drum is worth keeping for sure.
I'd take the fwd drum and cut the pressure plate apart to use for future builds to check clearance.
I'd take the servo cover and modify it to make checking band clearance easy.
Alot of the geartrain can be used as long as you pay attention to the endplay stackup when mixing and matching years. There is a good document from transgo actually that covers all the differences and what to look for in 80e geartrain
The VB is fine
Really...I'd keep most everything on the shelf and toss the case.
