What size stall converter do I need? I've got a used 5,000 stall converter from a TH400 that I'm considering having rebuilt but wanted to get some feedback. Engine is an LS370 for a 99 Camaro and the transmission is a 1.76 ratio glide built with the 400 turbo spline input shaft. The rear end will be a MWC FAB 9 with 3.90 gears and rear tire is a 28x10.5 slick. The engine has an LS3 intake, L92 heads and the cam specs are 238/246 .633I .633E 111+3 LSA.

Before anyone else comments and gives you their opinion that may or may not be correct,
I'm going to advise you just talk to the experts.
@FTI Converters @Jake's Performance both have good converter programs. I've used both in the past and continue to use both.
They have experience and the knowledge to get a converter properly spec'd for your setup. They will give accurate recommendations. Much more accurate than someone on the forums here probably will
