Default 1993 Firebird formula automatic transmission

Can some tell me if the 1993 Firebird formula automatic transmission is different from the 1994 and up automatic transmission? I’ve read and heard different things but the most consistent one is that the 1993 cars have a 700r4 that GM changed the name to 4L60, and that 1994 and up had the 4L60E.

thnak you.
