Default Removing torque convertor pilot bushing?

Hey guys, 4 searches and couldnt find anything on this, im converting to manual (t56) and believe i will need to remove the torque convertor pilot bushing. Its sticks out quite a bit, but i did test fit the flywheel and clutch and theres a few millimeters of clearance. But i just dont feel comfortable leaving it in there. Can i just cut off the protuding part with an angle grinder or do i need to remove it completely? If so whats the best way to remove it?

It is probably being held in by rust and debris.

It should come out with some light tapping from a mallet and pulling on it with some vice-grip pliers.

I was going to say I've never seen that on a crankshaft before and its probably held into place by rust so get a hammer and tap it off..
