Tailshaft bushing replacement
So I was replacing my tailshaft seal and noticed a little slop in my driveshaft so I went ahead and replaced the bushing. Pressed the old one out, pressed the new one in with a little green loctite, no drama. When I went to slide the driveshaft in though the fit was TIGHT. Like couldn't get it all the way in. I honed the bushing with a brake hone for a minute until it felt smooth and had no slop. Did I do this right or is something wrong? Using a Timken seal and bushing.
Sweet, thank you for the validation. The yoke looked great, car only has 30k miles, but will be getting a new DS (with 9" install) soon. Want to make sure everything is as it should be.

The bushings are so cheap, I just tried it again. Same Timken bushing and seal, but this time the bushing looked much different. Regardless, the yolk slid right in with no honing... Still possibly my fault, but using a new $6 bushing required no honing.
