Hi guys. Rebuilding my first 4l60e and would like to know if I should be concerned with the pitting in this housing... no other defects visible other than this

Exactly as Maroon Monster said!

The Low/ Reverse clutch apply oil is down under that large black lip-seal, and further down under the apply piston.
Not a problem.
Just a sign of a crappy casting on a massively high production number part.
When I see something like that... I just always double check that there are no cracks.

Otherwise it should be good to go with a teeny-tiny extra bit of lube oil moving about LOL!
