Default Easy upgrades during pan swap

I'm knocking out a leaky pan gasket and going with a deeper track pan/filter combo and wanted to see if there was anything recommended to knock out while the pan is off. It's a stalled, cam only T/A. Way back when, people recommended shift kits. Is that a worthwhile venture for a 30k mile 4L60E? Hoping to get a built unit in within the next 1-2 years.

What vehicle?
LB1 boost valve is always a good idea.
Shift kit if you're wanting to drop the valve body

Sorry, it's a 2000 TA. I don't mind dropping the VB, just don't want to pull the trans again till the built one is ready to go in.

Like Maroon Monster said, without at least dropping the valve-body... there is not much you can do.
On F-Bodies, usually there is not even enough room to change out the servos... bummer.

correction.....if you still have worn out rubber motor mounts....removing the tranny cross member will allow it to drop enough to remove the servo.....piece by piece .....ask me how i know

I'm good dropping the VB, that's not awful under the car. Looking at the TransGo HD2 (is this one recommended?), there are several internal pieces to the kit as well. Is it worth time/effort to only install the stuff accessible with trans installed? I have poly motor mounts and very little willingness to pick out a servo piece-by-piece lol
