97 camaro ls swap, what crossmember to use?
Holly told me to use a lt1 crossmember and a adaptor don’t see how that works, the instructions said to use a hooker crossmember and the adaptor.was hopeing to get a bolt in so I know that the tailshafthouseing is at the right angle , lined up with the rearend .

Are you using a 4L60E that was intended for a LS engine?
You did not really specify what you are using for a transmission.
If the answer to my question is YES...
-then use a OEM 1998-2002 Camaro/ Firebird transmission cross-member from a junk-yard or buy a used one.
-After-market new cross-members are also available.
If you are using a 4L60E that was originally intended for a LT engine; then things are a bit more complicated.
Use the original transmission cross-member... but you will have to slot the holes for the mount or buy an adjustable mount.

Useing a ls 4l60, have the ls crossmember that doesn’t fit either, that crossmember sits about 3” rear of the bolt holes on the body. Maybe adapt the lt1 member with a plate it’s right on the edge of the mount, anyone know how high or low the tailshafthouseing can sit?(the ls and lt1 crossmembers are different heights)

I can not recall a reason why a fitment issue would occur.
You have a LS family engine, and a 4L60E for a LS family engine with an OEM cross-member for a 4l60E for a LS family engine...
Correct?
I used to produce a cross-member that would fit both the SBC/ LT power-train and the LS power-train.
I simply made the cross-member with two mounting pads for the transmission mount.
