thanks for you’re input that method I would need to tear the tail shaft down or something? I have a spare th400 that needs a bell housing so maybe I’ll do that to that th400 while it’s getting rebuilt. Right now I just want it to work and be somewhat close like within 5-10mph but I need something. You guys should defiantly something simple especially with the popular th400 coming back in the race scene even though I know most don’t need it because slips tell you mph etc but this is a street car so I drive it lol
The THM400 has never disappeared or diminished in the race scene.
Most of the THM400 used in racing do not use a speedometer and have a cup-plug/ freeze-plug in the case.
The "Drag-Week"/ Impractical "Street-Car" movement has grown massively (Great for my business) and use some form of speedometer.

Man if you had one I’d try it right now. When you say 40 reluctor does the th400 come with that already? Thought just the 4 speed autos did? Does going from m6 to a3 matter besides in the computer program itself? I know for the vss wheel sensor you had to do some math to get it right. I rather not have to go through that and would pay for the ease of install. How do you even put a 40 reluctor on it? Didn’t those come in the 60/80e?

However I do not do hardly any currently (just a few 1967 - 1969 Resto-Mods).
The "New Camaro" (Not an F-Body) has ruined the name "Camaro" for me... I do not like the car.
The "Resto-Look" worked great for Dodge, good for Ford, but poorly for GM.
Nobody 6 foot or taller can even see what they are doing, when driving those cars.
I design and build complete GM Power-Train Systems for race cars (and some street cars) in the 1,000 - 3,500 HP range.
I also design and build complete GM/ Delphi Bussed-Electrical Systems and Electronic Control Systems.
Basically I build you an entire power-train and an entire wiring-system and EFI/ Ignition system.
I do not do any business with site members... I want this forum kept completely separate... I do not want people asking me for quotes and scheduling information on here... I am backed-up for a solid 14 months right now anyway.
