Any advice on mating these two would be helpful thanks

I do not recommend it... Yes it can be done... But I do not recommend it.

1995 4l60E units are an old-ball year in terms of PCM control of the valve-body and oil-pump.

Physically you will need to adapt the transmission to the Gen III small-block chevy...
as the transmission is intended for a Gen I small-block chevy.

The easiest way to do this, is with a custom torque-converter...
along with using only 5 of the 6 bolts that attach the transmission to the engine.

You are going to have to use BOTH the OEM engine PCM and OEM 1995 transmission PCM together "Piggy-backed", in order to make this work electronically.
