Sorry, just giving you a hard time. If it works good for you that's all that really matters. Plenty of ways to accomplish the same thing. If someone has an easier/faster way to do something I'm all ears.

Last shop I worked at guy had stacks of them.

Not taken the wrong way at all! I get nervous with the metal one because my very first time (before I filed it) I cut some lips.

Just wanted to give a little update on all of this. I haven’t had time to drop the trans to put the other converter in but once I cleaned the trans out, it has been flawless. Still WOT shifting with 14psi of boost and being daily driven. I have swapped the fluid/flushed it another time since then and the fluid still looked perfect with nothing whatsoever on the pan. For anyone scrolling for the “fix”, it was just crud from the converter in the valve body that caused my erratic shifts (and lack of).
