What is the history of the 80? Did you previously hear it/seen it work?

The One-Way Roller-Clutch for the Stator could be making noise...
or even the Lock-Up Clutch dampening Springs could be making noise.

What is the model of the Torque-Converter?

i did not see or hear it before i got it, it came with the lq9 i got. i know the pump is working as it should and goes into every gear. the noise and shaking is the only issue with the trans. i haven't pulled the pan and took a look to see if there is any metal shavings/chucks in the fluid.
