Confused question, I have a 2006 Silverado 1500 ls 4.8l with a 4l60e transmission code 6chd that went caput. I got a used very clean 99 4l60e 9cfd donor. I was told they will swap perfectly. Im finding the neutral safety switches pin connectors are different. From a 2 plug on the 99 to a single in my 06. Also found a link that states that the inputs were a 298mm on the 99 and a 300mm on my 06. Bell housing and main body identical,both are M30 . Can I just swap the neautral safety switch over.
If the Input-Shafts are the same for both Transmissions, then you are good to go.
(The Input-Shaft that is shown on the far Left):
If the older Transmission uses an Input-Shaft like shown in the middle of the Image above...
then you will need to find a different Transmission or swap a several Parts over.
You can use your current Park Neutral Position Switch on the older Transmission.
If the Input-Shafts are the same for both Transmissions, then you are good to go.
