I'm not sure if/when the 4l60e made that change

I don't mean to be rude here but...why not just measure/check your case and go from there to get what you need?
I have a very limited amount of metric sockets here, do you know what size they are to remove them? I'll see if I have something in the morning. Thanks.

So I take that date to fall to be a 2008, so I searched using a 2008 Trailblazer SS AWD and it didn't show anything. Then I changed the vehicle to a Trailblazer 2WD and got this:

So whatever the 2008 Trailblazer 2WD except SS called it, (must be a M30/60E), it is different than the 2004 XUV aluminum 5.3L and the 2007 Silverado/Sierra 1500 Classic 5.3L (7KCD, my core)... 2008 says it's a 9/16-18 UNF! So it must be a wholesale 2008 year change, both 4l60e and 4l80e...

Thanks.

2004 GMC XUV LM4 5.3L 2WD/A4WD/4HI/4LO, but the core I'm building is 7KCD from 2007 Silverado/Sierra Classic 4WD 5.3L. The XUV has 2WD/4WD plus "Automatic 4WD" I guess it's different than AWD somehow... I think...

I don't know if the Trailblazers had this. I think the SS had iron blocks and AWD... or just 2WD. This body is a GMT305, a sub-model of the GMT360 platform, unique and only available in GMC for about 18 months...

https://www.pcmofnc.com/product/v8-t...sion-cooler-3/

this is the route I would go, especially having limited tools, space, etc. you can use the AN stuff you have if you desire. I would personally use the rubber pushlok stuff and use good quality split loom (the stuff with a grey stripe on it). I have personally used that size of cooler (or the GM version) in many vehicles, everything seemed to run in the 160-180 range depending on load (towing, etc)

Thanks tayto, but I don't have $260-($280 w/tax) to spend on a cooler. My choices are the Hayden 699 w/built-in bypass thermostat for around $60, the Hayden 689 (no built-in thermostat but has 6AN male ports), or the Tru-Cool 40,000GVW LPD47391 oem for around $70.

Hayden 699:

LPD47391:

LPD47391 oem

I'd be happier if I could find a combination of all 3--

The built-in thermostat bypass of the 699, plus

threaded ports of the 689 (male 6AN), or

female threaded ports of the 47391.

Also, I ordered the 6AN 1/4"-18 NPS fittings for $7pr.

I already bought new AC Delco steel lines last year, all 4. I think it'll be easier installing AN lines straight to a remote cooler unless I can get the steel lines in to stop the leak and blow out the radiator cooler. I don't know how much of the stock lines are salvageable to run a compression fitting and bypass the leaky section to get to run around in 2nd gear to pick up the converter and other parts to get a DMV inspection...

Thanks everybody, especially if you use any of these coolers and can comment.

I do not recall the Guys over at the 4L60E Team changing the Cooler Port threads of the Case...

I believe that the change over for the 4L80E...
was due to the wishes of 3rd Party Vehicle Up-fitters (who were the primary purchasers of the Transmission for Conversion Trucks/ Vans).
Not many production GM Vehicles were still using the 4L80E anymore.

I think THIS is what I'm looking for, just not at the price, especially if 4 are needed...
