natural brownish rusty color. I see OE converters every day. I've never seen one painted that cam from GM that I recall.
Just do a simple foot brake stall. If it goes above 1100, it's not a factory TC. The most I ever got a factory F-body converter to brake stall is about 900-1100 on a worn out TC. The factory TC is so tight and such a high STR that they'll brake and flash at same rpm.
