Good Day, I'm trying to confirm if my TC is installed correctly. During installation I heard two defined clicks instead of three. I have measure the distance of the mounting face with a straight edge going across the transmission and it is close to an inch. Also from the underside it seems to be sticking out a lot. But it might be normal. Underside view.
Does the converter rock around much when you push on the opposite sides?
TTC (Total Transmission Chicago) is the manufacturer. It doesn't rock much at all. Pretty firm in there and it spins freely. I filled the TC with a few quarts of oil and while spinning it I'm getting a little fluid from the cooling line output port on the transmission.

Doesn't appear to be completely seated. It should be 1" or more.
Converter build height may be on tall side and it's all the way in but you are likely not going to have enough pullout at that measurement.
Measure off the block bellhousing face to the converter mounting area of the flexplate and see what it is.

Darn... I will check it again. I connected it to the engine block. I'm going to check the measurements again.
If you already have it bolted up to the engine, just see if there is a 3/16 gap between the flex plate and the converter mounting pad. Also, I like to check that the converter will spin in the trans before bolting the converter to the flex plate.
