Default 4L60E Removal

So i've seen threads and have done some research. May tackle this soon as part of taking out the motor project. I do have a rear main seal leak I believe. How high do I need to have the car to remove this from the floor. I'm a smaller dude and can work around. Will race ramp heights be enough?

I took out my t56 on 10" wheel cribs. I did have to jack up car a bit more to roll out on jack. Your gonna need a bunch of extension's.

I'm currently working on a rear main seal on a 2500 SUV LQ4, so not much help on the lifting part. 😕

Are you replacing the barbell resistor? I ordered a new one after reading I should go ahead and replace it. I also ordered an SinCity rear main seal centering tool. But the videos I've seen don't really mention anything about it. 🤷

Why are you pulling the engine to replace the rear main seal? I pulled my transmission and had easy access to the rear cover to do the job.

Here's the sticky on the bottom engine removal. There are pictures, which may help you judge how high you need to lift the body. (Looks pretty high.) https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...ls1-fbody.html

If removing the engine from the bottom, you are going the have to get the car a lot higher than ramps. You also won't be able to support the car with the front wheels because the front suspension has to come out.
