I have a OEM 98 blazer console shifter and would like to convert it to a ratchet shifter. Anyone done this with a OEM GM shifter. I realize the shift detent plate needs to be modified but I'm not sure how.

 

If you figure out how to do it you may need a transmission in the near future. The 4L60 uses the pcm to control shifting. I can't imagine it's going to like being manually shifted very long. I'm not an expert, just my two cents.
