Ss3200 quick basic question
Hello, I see just about everyone and their dog say go 3600. I'm sure it's better for all reasons I've read. But my question is I found a slightly used ss3200 for 350. Everything I do is on a tight budget so ever buying a new yank 3600 is very slim odds. So put yourself in my shoes, is it worth it considering the price? I have other things I wanna do so I could always hold out for a used 36 but doesn't seem like people change them out much.
I say go for it....
Down the line if you want to change it you can send the converter to them and they can restall it to whatever you want.
My converter started out as a ss3600, I have had it cut and cleaned and also restalled many times and it's now a PT4400

Okay thank you guys. I wasn't looking to beat a dead horse of which is better, I have discovered the ever elusive search function. I'm a noob with converters I didn't realize you can have the stall rate changed. Anyone know the ballpark cost to do so? I could just buy it now, pinch some pennies and get it stalled to 3600 when I'm ready to install.

The restall is about $450. I'm in Minnesota and to ship the converter to Yank was about $100 round trip.
Other companies can restall your converter also.....
Gah guy also has a btr stg 2 na cam too for 150. It's so tempting, I was just reading on here about that cam and seems like it's very good, with long tubes, duals, and a ls6 intake looks like I'd be over 400hp but then I worry about the trans and rear as it's auto. Plus that would make the itch for heads increase. It's never ending I swear. Sorry back to topic. It is NA and I wonder if a 4000 would be to much as I want it to still be streetable. I don't ever race and it probably will never see a drag strip. I apparently need to do more reading because converters are literally a whole new world for me.

So actually don't know if it's the ss or not I just assumed out of ignorance the anything yank was SS didn't know it was a different model or line. Guy selling is kinda being a ***** so I might pass. Learned from this though I CLEARLY need to do more reading on converters and maybe I should stop part shopping when I'm still waiting on installing duals
