I have an 06' 4L80e that had a "rough" prior rebuild. It came to me with a bad pump, fried direct and forward clutch packs, and one of the aluminum walls on the case oil passages has a small nick on it (pic below). Is there a way to braze or repair it? Or will the separator plate gaskets seal it enough? It's for a friend and he is okay trying it in the hope that the gasket seals it. It looks deceptively larger then it is. I passed a machinist stone across it and I can still barely catch it with a fingernail. It is between the 3rd clutch feed and 4th oil passages. We are installing a shift kit with Sonnax boost valve/stock spring. We don't want to give up on this case if there is a repair or solution.
