Default Yank SS4000 vs. SS3600

My wife and I built an '04 Corvette coupe about 12 years ago, sold it and are in the process of buying it back. With stock 241 heads and the LS6 it made 429 to the wheels NA (Tick SNS Stage III cam, ARH LTs, gear, CAI, tune, etc.) and 565 on a 150 shot. NA it runs 11.2x's NA in good air with a 1.50 60' time. We run a Yank SS4000. We could never get the car to run at the track on spray as it would blow through the converter. Dave at Yank recommended changing the SS4000 to a SS3600. Has anyone else had trouble spraying a SS4000? I'm also curious how much my NA times would get hurt with the SS3600. Goal is to run 9s on the bottle in perfect DA and track conditions. The nitrous system is from Nitrous Outlet with a stand alone fuel cell and pump, LNC-2000 and NOS mini-progressive controller.
