I have a 4L80e trans with the tag shown below will this work on a gen 3 stand alone build? or do I need one form a gen 3 truck?

 

A picture of the bell-housing would help. If the bell-housing has a top center bolt hole it should fit the Gen 3/4 engines. I think it is the gen 5 blocks that the top center hole got moved to a little to the passenger side. The 2 o'clock hole is not used on the LS engines. I was told that it would go into a water jacket if drilled & tapped.
