For tranny expert dummies like me .....many thanks to your contributions in educating us wanna be experts
I know all to well about health issues ....mine have slowed me down considerably ....my projects have dragged on for to long as they take a back seat to doctors and recovery.....I will have to live to a 100 to finish all my projects as I refuse to leave them to my kids to finish
If I ever win the lottery....we need to talk about some business projects
Thanks @vorteciroc for your many contributions. I am uploading the Dura-Bond 4L60E bushing page. The TK-23HP kit has all the black coated bushings in it. They also include all the wide bushings where applicable in it, like both wide stator & wide rear sun gear. I have used it many times, the only thing I wish is that they would put 2 pump bushings in it. I like the wider pump bushing in place of the standard rear drum bushing.
hey man I don’t know your first name or last, but I’m definitely familiar with your screen name here. I hope everything is good with you. I just wanted to say even though I’ve never engaged a conversation with you I can guarantee that your contributions here are not a waste I’ve learned countless things from you. undeniably you know what you’re talking about. I’m sorry your having health problems getting old sucks. Thanks 🙏

Am I the only one who hates the durabond pump bushing? Yuck, in my opinion, its junk and wears out too quickly. The factory teflon coated bushing is far superior and lasts way long while being slicker feeling.

Am I missing something here? There is no part numbers following GM Part #. I really need all those part numbers because I had a 4L70E rebuilt by a guy that has rebuilt transmissions for me before and have had no problems. But after flooring the gas 3 times it blew up on me. Also, would anyone have a ballpark cost for this build? Many have told me don't use the 4L70E but, go to a 4L80E. I bought a 3.5" aluminum drive shaft and a Circle D torque converter for the 4L70 which would be useless for the 4L80. I also have a TH400 w/a Gear Vendors O/D. That would involve changing the trans mount, rebuilding the TH400 and purchasing another converter, not to mention not having a lockup and adapting that to an LS2. I really need some good advice on this, it will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
